Social Program

The Local Organizing Committee has set up a specific programme of social events for the 8th World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology attendees. The different activities will be good opportunities for congress delegates, accompanying persons and exhibitors to meet and renew old acquaintances or establish new links.


For organisational reasons we kindly ask all full registrants and accompanying persons to specifiy on the registration form which of the social activities they wish to take part in. 
Onsite registrations will be possible according to availabilities.


Meet & Greet Reception, Tuesday, May 31st (evening) - 17:00 - 19:00
at the Bordeaux Opera


The Grand Théâtre, emblematic place of Bordeaux and chef-d’oeuvre of the architect Victor Louis, will shelter the Meet & Greet WCVD 8 Reception. Enjoy a glass of Bordeaux wine with your friends and colleagues from all over the world before going out to have dinner on your own in Bordeaux. A wonderful opportunity for delegates to relax and recharge from travel and to prepare the delegates for the energy and excitement of the coming days!

Leave your luggage in your hotel before coming to the Opera!
Transportation on your own. Tram stop: Grand Théâtre, line B , or Quinconces, line C

Welcome Reception, Wednesday, June 1st – 20:00 - 22:00
at the Congress Center, in the exhibition hall

 

The Welcome Reception will be held in the Exhibition Hall following the Opening Ceremony (19:00 - 20:00 in the main amphitheater). A standing buffet will be provided in a convivial and friendly atmosphere.

Dress code: business casual

Bordeaux evening at Giscours, Friday, June 3rd
at Château Giscours

The Château Giscours is dated back to 1330, and since 1855 it hosts a winery labelled classified Growth of the Margaux appellation.Located at only 20 minutes from Bordeaux, this exceptional place is ideal for spending a great Bordeaux evening.

Dress code: Smart casual 
Comfortable or flat shoes. It is advisable to bring a warm garment.

  • Additional ticket: 230 €

Transportation

Return transportation by coach will be provided

Departure from 19:00 to 19:30

  • The coaches will all depart from the Congress Center
  • Personal belongings can be left at the cloakroom for the night if you have no time to return to your hotel (cloakroom will close at 19:00)
  • Do not forget to wear your badge
  • When reserving your seat for the dinner at the Congress Center you will get a confirmation that will be requested to get on the bus

Transfer back to Bordeaux
